Matt Bain, MD
I attended grade school through high school at Salem Academy, in Salem, Oregon. Then I attended Baylor University, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a biology major and chemistry minor. While at Baylor, I was blessed to marry my high school sweetheart, Lea. My best moments are spending time with my wife and three children.
For Medical School, I attended Oregon Health and Sciences University, graduating Magna Cum Laude and earning Alpha Omega Alpha honors. Then I completed Family Practice Internship and Residency at Southwest Washington Medical Center. In 2001 I was fortunate to join Dr. Neal, Dr. Irvine, and Dr. Ohling. I have maintained my board certification and practiced Family Medicine here in Albany, Oregon ever since.
In my spare time I enjoy family activities, teaching, and coaching. I have had the honor of coaching football at Santiam Christian High School the past few years. I feel strongly about trying to have a positive impact in the community, especially the next generation of young people.
I enjoy practicing in Albany, a community of hard workers, farmers, small business owners, and lots of great people. It has been discouraging to see patients getting pushed out of the way as 3rd parties usurp more and more control of our healthcare system. That is why I’ve decided to create a different type of practice. One that restores the proper perspective of what the patient – physician relationship is all about.
We are a small clinic with a family like atmosphere. I am joined by Abby (MA) and Avery (MA) in the back office, Jennifer, and Jenn the front as secretaries. Our goal is to help you navigate the complex system and obtain the quality of care you deserve with good value for your dollar.
